Patient Reference Group
Most GP practices in Sutton now have a PPG (Patient Participation Group) where patients meet to provide feedback on the practice’s services. Each PPG also sends delegates to the PRG (Patient Reference Group), which hears relevant speakers and gives feedback about services across Sutton. The PRG meets once every two months, and each meeting covers different healthcare topics chosen by the delegates. Speakers tend to come from the NHS or other organisations, including charities and voluntary groups, which have a role in providing healthcare in Sutton. Healthwatch supports the PRG by booking rooms, taking minutes, inviting speakers and so forth. Anyone registered with a GP in Sutton can join their GP practice’s PPG and the PRG.
