Healthwatch Sutton Volunteers recognised in Physician Associates study
Nicole King, from the University of Portsmouth and Epsom & St Helier NHS Trust, has looked at clinicians’ and patients’ views of Physician Associates in the UK Emergency Department.
She asked Healthwatch Sutton volunteers for feedback on her study’s information sheets and consent forms. Four volunteers gave feedback which “helped guide the study’s direction and shape its future work”.
Thank you to the volunteers who took part and Nicole for this piece of research. You can read the study here
Physician Associates are a type of clinician who provide care to patients. They are different to General Practitioners (commonly known as Doctors or GPs).
Emergency Departments (also known as Accident & Emergency or A&E) help people who show signs of serious illness or who are badly injured.
