Have your say about the proposed extended hours to primary care services

18/01/2016

NHS Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is looking to commission a new extended hours primary care service.

The proposed new service will offer patients greater choice in making appointments outside of the normal opening hours (Mondays to Fridays, 08.00am to 6.30pm). Patients will receive the same care and services they currently receive through their GP practice.

Patients that are registered with GP practices will be able to pre-book appointments in the new service by contacting their own GP practice.

Urgent health matters that need attention within a few hours or emergencies that could be life threatening is NOT part of this questionnaire or the proposed service.

Sutton CCG is currently in the process of finalising the detailed arrangements for this service and would welcome views from patients.

In addition, the CCG will be continuously reviewing the new service, especially during the first 6 months of operation to ensure that its offer accurately reflects local patients' clinical needs.
